For as long as I can remember I’ve always had a passion to paint and draw. Though I have no formal education in art beyond school (I was persuaded to do the ‘sensible’ thing of studying the sciences and pursue a ‘proper career’) creating artworks remained a constant throughout my life.
Christmas and birthdays were easy with family and friends pre-ordering their presents well in advance… quite literally to beat the ‘Christmas rush’. It wasn’t long before I was drawing for friends of friends on commission.
My favourite medium is pastel though I am experimenting with oils and am thoroughly enjoying the experience, so watch this space if you like your art on canvas, there’s a number of works coming online once completely dry and varnished.
I do not work full time as an artist, I work with horses and love my job too much to ever give it up. To me painting and drawing should be a pleasure never a chore – if I don’t feel like painting then I don’t… but I usually do.
A small number of my works are exhibited in animal themed shops and though I’d love to exhibit in a gallery once finished my work is straight off to its new home. Commissioned works are as far travelled as Europe, America and Canada.
