I was born in Maidstone, Kent in 1953 and now live and have my studio on the Hertfordshire/Essex border.
I am a self taught artist, with advice from my father who is an artist in Cornwall. He has educated me over the years with regard to painting with oils. I especially like the "wet on wet" technique using this medium. I mainly paint using oil, although occassionally I use watercolours. I totally lose myself in my paintings and I am always amazed how quickly the time passes.
My travels to Sri Lanka, The Maldives and safari trips to Kenya have also inspired me to paint using a variety of colours.
When I am painting I normally have a few pictures on the go at the same time. As oil takes time to dry I can be getting on with the next stage of another painting whilst others are drying.
I have signed all of my paintings and have also had them framed by a member of the Fine Art Trade Guild to conservation standard.
I also have an interest in photography. All my photographs are produced to archival standard and are printed using the Epson R2400. Only Epson media and genuine Epson Ultrachrome K3 inkset are used which provides superb archival results.
I hope you enjoy the artwork that is available whether you wish to purchase an item or not.
