I was born a few seconds before the 1960's. At 16 I was told that I would never hold down a job with responsibility and be more suited to a career as a film director.
I went on therefore to train as a doctor and have dedicated my life to the NHS for the last twenty years as a children's orthopaedic (bones) surgeon. In the occasional spare moment I have painted watercolours (for fun) and tried to become an inventor (sadly for commercial gain).
In 2006 I began to experiment with a thermopolymer that I use extensively in orthopaedics and discovered that I could "paint with it". My polymer paintings, relief wall pieces and sculptures draw inspiration from the wilderness of Dartmoor, the Devon coast and a technical and enginering bias from my surgical work.
I hope that you feel they are of interest - my children hope that one day they will be collectible - my wife hopes that I will stop being childish and learn to cook !!
