I have been drawing and painting since I first picked up a pen, and have always admired the way painters can transfer their thoughts onto the canvas to turn them into a reality. I do not have a specific favorite subject - I paint the things that inspire me at that moment. For instance, I recently stumbled across a wooden hobby horse from my childhood, lying in the shed. It provoked a certain nostalgia and before I knew it I was digging up a collection of old shabby toys and painting their portraits, and I tried to transfer onto canvas those whimsical ideas I remember having myself when I was very small.
