Rachel McNaughton lives near Wetherby and is well known for her paintings of flowers. Although flowers are possibly her favourite subject she also enjoys landscape painting both in this country and abroad. She works mainly in watercolour but also uses pastel.
Rachel has been painting for well over twenty years although she has no formal art training other than O level. Painting has always been a passion and has grown from a fascinating hobby to a full time career. Colour is what attracts her most and she achieves a depth and vibrance not always associated with watercolour.
Rachel also teaches several classes and workshops in watercolour painting and many of her paintings are produced as cards and prints.
A fifth solo exhibition of her original paintings will be held on the 9th & 10th May 2008 at Wetherby Town Hall. Prints and cards will also be for saleArtgallery rating
