Artist Randle Drury

After many years of teaching teenagers how to be creative as an art teacher, I decided it was about time for me to pursue my own artistic ambitions. For now I am into acrylic painting, though I'm still very keen on watercolour and oils. My subject matter is derived from the urban landscape, the town or city environment, in particular the buildings and the kind of detail that they have to offer. We take architecture for granted, we go to the shops, we use the buildings but do we look at them? I have been trying to analyse and suggest some of their amazing features in different media. My interests in art are very wide, I have lived and breathed the subject for most of my life. I have delved into many areas, styles and techniques - I don't consider style to be static. You may find quite a wide variety of subject matter in my work.
