Surrealism first influenced me to start painting. After a while I decided to quit my job and go back to college and study for a Fine Art diploma. In my second year at college I was reading about installation artists such as Joseph Bueys and Christian Boltanski. Their work and philosophy inspired me a great deal and by the end of my college course I had found my forte in installation, usually focusing on world issues or the human condition. In June 2007 I finished college and later received my Diploma in Fine Art, graduating with a triple distinction. I shall be attending Nottingham Trent University next year to study Fine Art at degree level. For now I paint regulary to keep the creative juices flowing and to express personal feeling.
