For many years I have enjoyed and studied the techniques and styles of various artists, finding enjoyment in the work of William Mallory Turner as well as the artists of the pre-Raphaelite era and the renaissance. However, it is only until recently that I have truly discovered my own style, which derives from a dark period in my life. As a result I strive to make my work dark and emotive, encouraging those who view my work to question modern life and the world around them. I have always felt that our self removal from the natural world darkens our own existence and that as we move further away from it we irretrievably damage ourselves and my work reflects this belief.
