Artist Richard Farrant

I was bought up within an artistic family with both parents being active and widely collected artists in their own right. Influenced on the one hand by my mothers (Liz Farrant) delicate watercolours and imaginative oil paintings and my fathers (Alan Farrant)illustrations and sculpture on the other. With no formal art training, I have worked within the art world for over 20 years, running an art consultancy and framing business, and in the last nine years using the creative urge to work on art of my own. I have experimented with a variety of media, particulaly acrylic, and more recently charcoal and am constantly developing new ideas and themes.
