Artist Robert Batt

I have over many years tried various mediums particularly in sculpture. I am completely self taught though I do have a background in welding and fabrication. Over the last two years I have been concentrating on working with sheet steel experimenting with different techniques for shaping and welding. In 2010/11 I sold six of my works, as these pieces take a long time to make I rarely have more than 2 or 3 works for sale at any time. So far my work has concentrated on human figures but I am looking at adapting my techniques to include animal and abstract designs. Each of my pieces is an original one off with no plans to recreate any design.
