 Born in Birmingham in 1971, I moved with my family to Italy shortly after and spend my formative years there.
I expressed my artistic flare from a very early age exposing my artwork locally, mainly oil/acrylic painting and charcoal/pencil drawing, from the age of 13.
I followed my passion by joining the Academy of Art in 1986 where I perfected my skills in all aspects of drawing and painting , sculpting, photography, textile and improving my knowledge of history of Art.
I continued to be a prolific artist which helped me deal with a number of personal and emotional setbacks through my 20s.
In 1998, I moved back to the UK with my daughter to pursue my professional and artistic ambitions and graduated in graphic design. I set up 3 businesses since then, all in the design and creative areas, whilst continuing to paint recreationally.
However, I have now decided to return to academia and I am studying Interior Design at the University of Wolverhampton.
I am now able to dedicate more time to my art and have been concentrating on oil painting as I feel this, out of all the art forms I am familiar with, allows me to express myself more fully.
