Artist Rosie Blackshaw

I have always been interested in the creative arts and having just finished my degree at Edinburgh College of art, I’m taking the first real steps into making a life out of it. Although I’ve sold a few works and commissions previously, I’ve built up a portfolio of work whilst being at college, which really reflects me. I work mainly from life as I find the human form fantastically interesting and versatile. Whether I work in paint or collage I find strong shapes the most visually interesting as I try to create bold images. I think art allows us to communicate in the most human way and am continuously inspired by this idea.
