After a few years spent on sociological studies leading to a career in marketing, I decided it was time for me to explore new and more “manual” forms of creativity, so I swapped desk and computer with easels and pigments and I started painting… Recently I had the chance of practicing in the studio of an artist who introduced me to the fine oil painting techniques of the masters of renaissance; at the same time, I have been fascinated by the “free” flow and spontaneity of water based media. At times, it is the colour, the contrasts and the unpredictability of results which attracts me mostly. At other moments, the subject itself becomes the main focus of my painting, and I am driven by a deep desire of being able to capture its essence in a stable, timeless form.
It is a very challenging but rewarding journey, in which I am constantly discovering and opening up to new, diverse ideas of beauty
