Sean Terrington-Wright trained in Graphic Design and Fine Art at the Isle College during the mid-Seventies. He has sketched, painted, and made prints for over 35 years. He has a Bachelor of Arts Hons degree, as well as a degree in teaching (P.G.C.E) from the Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge. During the early 1990s, he studied directly under the tutorship of several modern watercolourists - Ron Ranson, James Fletcher-Watson, and Alwyn Cranshaw. However, Sean considers Edward Seago, Ted Wesson, and Rowland Hilder to be his biggest artistic influences, along with the Norwich School. He frequently visits and studies the old masters of the Norwich School (John Crome, John Sell Cotman, John Middleton et al) at the Norwich Castle Museum. During the 1990s Sean demonstrated painting techniques for art materials manufacturer Tollit & Harvey in art venues across the UK. He has exhibited with the British Watercolour Society, Society of Miniaturists, and the Yorkshire Pastel Society. His paintings have been widely collected. Most notably by the late Queen Mother; Derek Oldfield, former conductor of the Iceni Orchestra; and Henry Bellingham, MP.
