Artist Sharrina Agese

I am a University BA (Hon) Interior Designer graduate by profession with a very strong passion for art. I am an emotional painter. Art is a way of expressing my feelings, thoughts and emotions; these are reflections of joy, hope, peace, life disappointments & successes. I’m inspired by events of the day, my travels to many different countries around the world and by experience of life. I have developed my own personal style and paint from the heart. My paintings are acrylic on stretched canvas. I believe that good art last for ever and bring people joy and pleasure. I want to bring people these unique qualities of life. I consider myself as a woman of the world, born in Africa and living in The Netherlands from time to time and for the most of my life in the UK (London), to me, London is home, a chaotic vibrant womb where I can be creative. My paintings are graced and get people responding to their inner emotion without being constraint; each painting created by me has its own character. My paintings are not meant to be placed in a corner, it will not rest well hidden, and it will leap out and demand to be looked at and communicate with people the way it was meant to. My paintings have emotional attachment to the observer; they interrogate and search, sharpen your antenna and tune you to reconsider the beauty on and of our planet. A painting from me opens communication between yourself and the piece of art in front of you. Art is more than what you see.
