 Born 1979 Kirkcaldy, Scotland.
Studied Fine Art at Duncan of Jordanstone, University of Dundee.
Lives in Edinburgh.
Shona graduated from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, Dundee with a BA (hons) in Fine Art in 2003 where she was the recipient of The Sandra McNeillance Memorial Award for Drawing and Painting. Since this time she has been exhibiting regularly throughout the UK, Ireland and Australia. Shona has sold to an international audience and her work has featured in many publications. Successful Solo Show Edinburgh Festival, 2007.
"My aim is to create an atmospheric painting using brush-marks that have a presence and immediacy that captures the emotive vitality of the subject.
Vulnerability in the outer and inner beauty and ugliness of humanity in the space we live in is something that fascinates me and continues to put fuel to the fire of my passion for painting. I mainly paint women as l find them to be a versatile subject matter when it comes to painting."
