I have been painting ever since I can remember, but decided to take it seriously when I was 14 years old, choosing what to do with my life. I have taken Art at O Level, GCSE, A Level and Foundation Degree, receiving high qualifications at every stage.
I decided to do Costume Design at degree level and just graduated with a First Class BA(Hons). It still makes use of my creativity, but I also don't think I would every be able to give up a life-long passion for painting. I often wish I could ignore all else going on and disappear for a couple of weeks just to paint.
The first painting I sold was hung in a restaurant, and sold within a month. I recently held my first exhibition back home in the summer of 2008, selling 7 of my works on opening night. I sold another 2 over the week that it was open. I use a few different mediums and sizes range from A3 to 120cmx80cm. All my work is finished to display standards, oils and acrylics are varnished and works on paper are framed.
