Artist Stephen Beales

I mainly paint landscapes using acrylic as the medium. I have not had any formal training and paint for the enjoyment that I get from doing the paintings. I am a self taught artist who started painting in November 2010 after a holiday in Scotland over looking Loch Ness.I get my inspiration from life and nature and all my paintings are in acrylic on canvas or artist paper. I have done a few paintings for Help For Heroes which are to be auctioned off at The Big H concert in June 2011. I have also done some paintings for Villas4Vetrans. The painting that gives me great pleasure is the painting of Lcpl Liam Tasker with his faithful dog Theo who both sadly died in Afghanistan. The painting was chosen by Liam's family as a tribute to their beloved son.
