I studied fine art for six years, firstly at the Harris College of Art in Preston then at the Slade School of Fine Art, UCL. For a period of time I was the studio assistant to Richard Hamilton. As a practising artist I have also lectured in Art and Design at several colleges.
As well as being in group shows in England and a touring show of the USA, I have mounted One Man Shows in London, Reading, Oxford and Hereford. In the summer of 2006, I mounted a successful exhibition called “Responses” at the Courtyard Centre for the Arts in Hereford as part of the ‘Three Choirs Festival’. The work explored the tangible qualities of The Cathedral in conjunction with the intangible nature of a piece of Choral Music by Edward Elgar.
My ongoing series of work, “Ptolemy’s Mythtake”, is based on the plethora of historical and current scientific and religious theories surrounding our planet and its place in the cosmos.
