I have been drawing, painting for all of my life really, mainly self taught. I concentrated mainly on pencil work in my formative years and successfully exhibited and sold work through various single and joint exhibitions. I travel entensively with work an with leisure, so my pencils, pens and sketch books are never far from hand.
Watercolour has always been a daunting yet fascinating propersition for me! You can learn more from a mistake from a watercolour than any other medium and believe me, there are plenty of mistakes and plenty of learning still to be done.
I have taken several workshops both home and abroad, painting with Joseph Zbukvic in Australia and Alvaro Castagnet in America as well as visits to places such as Venice and Prague with my pencils and paints.
I love painting street scenes as well as city scenes, harbours, trying to capture atmosphere and movement of people, cars, boats, horses, Anything really!!!!
I have recently returned from a painting workshop in the Dorgogne valley with Joseph zbukvic, a gent and a legend and a tremendous painter and tutor. Works from that trip can be seen in my gallery. Thanks for taking the time to view my artwork.
