 I was born in South East London in 1959 and was raised most of my childhood in Surrey.I then moved again to the borders of Kent, not too far from where i was born.
My artistic background started when I was a child watching my father paint. I always admired the patience he had, sitting for hours on end painting a Constable type painting. He used to tell me the importance of shadows and highlights and although he never realised at the time, his words never left me.
Art was the only lesson I used to really enjoy but having my family quite early in life, I did not get the time to apply myself to it. As my family have grown and have their own interests, I have gone back to the Art that I love and enjoy.
I am a self taught Artist and enjoy painting various subjects and in different medias.
For more than 20 years I held home parties selling floral displays and Ceramic lamps/clocks/ornaments that I had handmade. They all required painting so I built up different techniques making these.
Some of my work is overseas in France and Spain and the rest in England.
I paint in Oils, Acrylics and Watercolour and get so much pleasure from all three media.
