I was trained as a sculptor in the art department at St Mary's Teacher Training college, now the University of Gloucestershire, I was a mature student and specialized in the horse in art, as I already had many years of experience with horses. I had not done any work for thirty years, because of family responsibilities, when I decided to start again this year, as I can now devote myself to work. Originally I cast my own work using the lost wax method. I now have the work cast at the Castle Fine Art foundry though I finish and patinate the work myself. I want to continue specializing in the horse, especially the head, which is where the spirit and character of the horse is centred.
