Artist Tim Lowndes

I'm a self-taught artist. I tried a Foundation Course at a local college but found their beliefs that the only art was Abstract a wee bit closed and pathetic. So after finishing the course I left formal eductaion to learn on the job so to speak. So after 15 years as a Graphic designer and 23 years of doing work for friends and family, I guess you could call me 'Experienced'. I like to dabble in all aspects of the art world. From drawing, painting, sculpting to song writing and poerty. I have now left the Art Industry to follow my first love of Motorcycles, and can be found teaching people to ride all over East Cheshire and Staffordshire. But my spare time is dedicated to my art work. I held my first exhibition at my local Library in May 2011. It was well recieved, with a full visitors book of positive comments. It was a complete exercise in vanity. All I wanted from it was for a complete stranger to come along and say "Man, you can draw!" which I achieved. Now I am trying to bring my art to the world and hopefully make a few quid along the way! :)
