Having graduated from Swansea University with a 1st class honours in General Illustration, I attempted to enter the competitive world of childrens book design via agents and publishers to no avail. However, on a holiday to the southern regions of France, I got really inspired by the textured buildings and street scenes in various towns - the crumbling masonry, flaking shutters, the fading text from bygone adverts scribed onto the facades...I soon set about recreating this in a serious and dedicated way to begin with but over the years, my style has loosened up and I now enjoy the exciting medium of collage and acrylics. I have enjoyed a great deal of success with local galleries, large art fairs and published work in the form of greetings cards and open ended prints.
