Artist Tracy Wright

I specialize in mixed media, textiles and inchies and twinchies and longchies. These are 1" x 1" , 2" x 2" and 6"x 2" pieces of artwork. I usually do triptychs ie: 3 pieces together. I use acrylic, pastels and liners or fabric, beads and any interesting media ie: ribbons, buttons, wool, angelina fibres, fusible film and fabrics. I was born in Manchester but have lived in Dorset near to the jurassic coast for the past 20 years. I am a farily new artist and I tend to lean more towards the acstract style of work, which I enjoy as it is vibrant and fun and modern. I started out my creative life as an artist making jewellery and cards. Then I developed using a lot of mixed media and making pictures using fabtic, angelina fibres and fusible film. I then discovered inchies and twinchies which meant that I could use all my mixed media skills but on a smaller scale which suits me better. I work from my studio at home in Dorset and I receive a lot of inspiration from my surroundings. It is a beautiful and inspiring location to work from.
