I learn't how to paint from a very young age watching my late Grand-father as he painted, I learnt with painting i could go to a place of peace and happiness. I took art at school but only in my last year but only got a D in art, i was ready to hang up my paintbrushes when a work collegue of my father came round and saw one of my paintings a brought it there and then, he told me to never give up. After that i painted to my heart's content for me but become over run with canvases and started to need the space so started to sell my paintings on ebay. I have done painting for charity auctions at work and i have been commisioned to paint for people as gift and still get asked to do paintings for people. I will sometimes be asked to "just do a painting for me" with this i like to get to know my client so i can put their personality into the painting. My Favourite time of year is winter and i am very fond of painting winter scenes, along with my two favourite places i couldn't be happier then if i was on top of a mountain or right next to the sea, this will come across alot in my paintings. I want the world to be able to see that you don't have to pass exams to be able to paint or spend thousands trying to get it right as long as you enjoy painting and it means something to you that it to will mean something to someone else.
