I am a contemporary style artist that likes to think outside the box with my art, I love to mix art and craft together, I think they marry well, I studied art in 1977 at Glasgow art College then my family moved to England, my art did not take off in those days because I went into nursing and family life.
But over the last few years my art has begun to take off, I exhibit my work at least once a year with the RBSA in Birmingham, which I enjoy and receive great feedback from.
I find that art college etc will teach one all the fundamentals of art, but they do not teach one art from the heart, the thing that inspires me to create something unique with compelling passion, to work into the wee small hours, until it is done.
This is what makes great art in all of us.
