Since graduating from university in 2008 I have set up a studio in Durham, where I make sculptures using clay, plaster and wood. Most of my sculptures are of people, I have always had an interest in the human form and began doing charcoal drawings of people at a young age. I like to use clay and plaster casting as my medium because I find that I am able to capture the energy and life of my subjects more easily than with other media. Throughout my artistic career I have been developing my technique, style and use of materials to try to produce sculptures which are both unique and beautiful. I am currently focusing on promoting, exhibiting and selling my sculptures both in the UK and abroad. I also produce custom made sculptures, working from photographs and to clients’ specifications to make busts, figures or relief style portraits in clay and plaster.
