When a gallery wrap is selected your picture will be wrapped around the wooden frame. When this happens edge loss will occur. Lost edges are the parts of the picture that are now on the side of the wooden frame.
- 2.25 inches off the left
- 2.25 inches off the right
- 2.25 inches off the top
- 2.25 inches off the bottom
Below is an example of a good candidate for a gallery wrap. The main focus of the picture is central and none of it will be cropped when the picture is stretched and stapled to the frame.
- The main focus is central
- There is enough 'spare' picture to go around the sides of the frame.
Example
The picture below is an A4 (21 x 29.7 centimeters) size. The bigger the size, the less dramatic edge loss becomes.
The grey areas in the image above indicate where the edge loss crop will be.
