	A deep-edged canvas painting showing a beautiful and relaxing abstract coastal scene. The picture goes right round the edge of the canvas. This painting was inspired by my walks along the coastal paths near where I live and the fantastic sunsets in Cornwall. The painting has collaged music elements as I am also inspired by the sounds and rhythms of the ocean. The collaged sea sparkles with layered elements that give a sense of the reflections on the water. I used textured tissue papers and textiles to give depth to the water. There is a piece of silver string curving in a musical wave across the canvas giving a 3-d aspect to the picture. This painting would be a constant reminder of the calming tranquility of the ocean and would highlight any room.
