Summer produces the best storms in my opinion, especially when it's been muggy and you get those fantastic thunderstorms. This painting was inspired by my local landscape just after one of those amazing thunderstorms, when the thunder is still in the air and the clouds are still threatening rain but you just get those few rays of sunshine breaking through.
