It is NOT photo manipulation, where you take a photo and apply all sorts of effects to it to make it interesting.
Digital Painting is completely different.
A digital painting begins like every other type of painting, with a “blank canvas”. Instead of the blank canvas being propped on an easel, it is opened in a Graphics Program in the artist's computer. Then using digital drawing tools, the artist creates an image, step by step and stroke by stroke. The pen can duplicate hundreds of types of brushes, pencils, pens and markers. Combine this with the millions of colors available digitally, and you find that this medium allows for some spectacularly detailed and realistic paintings. I love working digitally, as I feel there are just no limits to what can be done.
Each picture subject is unique as I take the photo and then transform it into a distinctive artwork.
