This is about reaching a place where you can cross over. The daub of blue river is almost 3D, to represent that step. The man is in the background, but he's helping. She's not entirely sure - you can tell from her feet, legs and hair.. but it's a bold painting, in warm yellows and orange. It tells a tale of subtle sharing too - from the matching green buttons and shoes. We need more of that in our world: Subtle support for stepping neatly over our obstacles, which as the abstracted river indicates, are more like mirages.
