Description of artwork The Generation Gap is about who holds the remote control.. Granfer is waiting for it to be passed to him. His grand-daughter pretends not to notice the waiting hand as she stares at the telly. The maturity of age is shown in the patience of his hand. Her slightly crumpled posture and somewhat hiding hands tell their own story. It was drawn from life, and I'm delighted with its reflection of reality TV. Granfer's hair really looked like that.
