A you-only-get-one-shot-at-it rendition of a game watched in Sussex. Somehow, although technically the horses' anatomy is way-off, it works. I especially like the front horse's legs, and the ease with which we can tell how the riders feel. It's got movement too, which is vital given the subject matter and moment of play. The ball off to the right makes a nice balance on the horizon too. Composition just came at that moment. Mounted in dark green with a silver frame I can recommend, but it's unframed, so that's the owner's creativity to come.
