A mixed media piece consisting of printed currency (GBP), berol and oils.
The canvas has 2 berol pens on either side hanging down from string allowing viewers/users to adapt the piece and add their own comments and anecdotes.
When the piece was exhibited the background was pristine and a plaque was put up beside it which instructed the viewers to add to the background. This proved a success and the background now has the scrawled, graffiti type effect i was looking for. More 'scrawl' can still be added to the background where ever the piece is exhibited.
Relational aesthetics and audience participation were the driving factors which influenced me to create this interesting, interactive piece.
