From the ballet FACADE performed in 2002 by Birmingham Royal Ballet, as part of a triple bill in celebration of William Walton's birth. Based on Edith Sitwell’s deliciously nonsensical poetry, Ashton’s ballet embraces the fun of it all with wholehearted and wilful abandon. Be entertained by a series of delightful characters playing out scenes covering Yodelling, Polka, Fox Trot, Waltz, Popular Song and The Tango. This work is based on the Fox Trot and the original painting is currently on exhibition at the Malvern Theatres as part of a small collection of Charles Willmott's work
