This painting was actually made a few months before the US Presidential elections last November. It’s based on a scene taken of the Kennedy’s on that fateful day in November when JFK was gunned down in Deeley Plaza in 1963. Except this time, it’s Obama that replaces Kennedy.
The ‘left’ side of the painting represents Change, Optimism, Hope, and what the world wishes WOULD happen. Whereas the ‘right’ side of the painting represents the reality of the world we live in now, in other words, what COULD happen. Either way, let's hope for the best and work for the future.
