For this study of a male nude the abstract background was created in my studio before attending the life drawing session. I often carry several of these pre-worked grounds with me and choose the one best suited to the model and pose. The abstraction of the ground and the pastel/charcoal study of Sean have worked well together to create this strong, masculine, dramatic and atmospheric work. This work will be delivered by post rolled up into a tube.
