Description of artwork I did this on the quayside from the near the Palazzo in December in Venice when I had gone to see a tribute Exhibition for Balthus who was my favourite living artist until he died about 2001 There was a snow blizzard while I was there which made Venice look even more like a dream city It was like a blast from Siberia while it lasted but the sun soon came out and illuminated the snow covered buildings
