Description of artwork Painted using fire. To create this delicate image, a wax and oil mixture is ignited with a blow torch flame. This molten mixture is then manipulated with the torch flame and finally extinguished with compressed air. The final image of a daisy uses the smoke and soot deposits to create the depth and texture in this striking painting. Layers of varnish are then used to seal in the marks and soot deposits. These are truly unique paintings using a highly innovative technique.
