Description of artwork The Rector's Palace is only one of the grand buildings within Dubrovnik old town. There are multiple beautiful arches and impressive staircases in a central open courtyard. It was built in Gothic and Renaissance styles in the 15th century. Much of its charm (like other buildings in Croatia) is because of the mixture of styles employed by successive invading nations.
