Description of artwork I wanted to try and represent both the light and dark of the city but also try and depict how a city changes. The river is closely linked to my own relationship with the city. It slowly erodes and breaks down in the same way that I fell out of love with the city and I felt the connections between people are destroyed. The top half also has a duality, it is intended to be dynamic and representative of the pace of the city. The top is also the city deconstructed both in a physical and a sociological way.
