I've used contemporary butterfly shapes to create this picture. It has been produced using a variety of media, including paper, PVA glue, acrylics, oil pastel, stitching and beads. The sides of the canvas have been painted a subtle mottled bluey green and the piece comes ready to hang although it could be framed if desired.
