This print is from a small exhibit in Manchester titled "Beast Meets West", a show of fun prints around the theme of taking old B-movie monsters and putting them in the wild west. "Big Trouble" shows a funny twist on the old damsel-tied-to-railway scenario, with the lady in distress this time being the 50ft woman, bound at the feet of a dastardly old-west villain a fraction of her size. Will the train even cause any harm when it arrives? Who knows?
This hand-pulled two-colour silkscreen had a limited edition run of fifteen and has almost sold out in the week since the show. The style shows influences from graphic design and animated films of the 50's and 60's with a contemporary feel.
