Objective---- Most viewers will assume they have seen such a scene or rows of buildings or cityscape but is not a representation of specific features but an overall feel and sensation on that initial aware you get when you recognise a place or remember a feature or colour which evokes a memory or a vision. If you squint at a view, apart from a blurred subject, colours become flat planes of colour, all detail is removed and although the subject becomes unrecognisable the feel and sensation from the power of pure colour and its interaction with its neighbour and overall plane becomes familiar and more thought provoking- you recognize the seine or colours or colour but its not an exact representation but a n emotion from a memory each persons adaptation will be slightly different and have there own take on the subject of view. This is one reason Artist don’t like to explain their work but leave the viewer to make their own feelings known.
