Description of artwork Postage Stamp Collage--- This iconic portrait created from over 3000 postage stamps is loosely in the style of Warhol’s portrait of “Marilyn”. The hair uses purple Machin stamps chequered with 1950s 3d three quarter face ovoid ER postage revenue stamps. These not only symbolise her chequered movie career but shows that it spans several decades. The orange Machin stamps are I think the only fluorescent stamps produced by the Royal Mail.
