Created specifically for a musically themed exhibition at The Liverpool Academy of Arts. The surreal painting juxtaposes two entirely opposite elements including natural rock which is formed over a period of billions of years; With the introduction of electrical instruments made popular during the 1950ās, predominantly by young adults in America and Europe who were celebrating a new more prosperous outlook in post WWII western society. The main focal point incorporates a guitar portrayed as a massive eroding piece of rock standing out from the sea like some mythical monster from an old Greek tale.
