This striking and unusual work depicts the famous Maison Bertaux tea shop in London's Soho. This is the fourth work the artist has done of this scene, which holds a certain fascination with its peeling stucco, faded 1950s glamour and striking blue awnings. An original photograph has been blended into a painting and genuine fragments of 1950s material have been added to form a unified work.
