When Darkness Comes - Dark Peak, Dark Places
All the paintings in this new collection are inspired by the beautiful Peak District landscape. The paintings are dark and reflect my love of thunderstorms, rain, cold winter days and walking in moonlight. Whilst the visual framework and inspiration of these works is regional the contents of the paintings are very much expressionist. By expressionist, I don't mean this in the art-history sense but as pure output of emotion and and a cathartic statement that captures the moment of painting.
All paintings are painted on acrylic, unvarnished and ready to hang.
